The Las Vegas 51s scored three runs in the ninth inning Friday at the Reno Aces to overcome a two-run final inning deficit and win, 7-6.
Jamie Hoffman and Matt den Dekker led off the inning with doubles to trim the deficit to one run. Eric Campbell sacrificed home den Dekker, and later in the frame with two outs, Ruben Tejada’s run-scoring double plated the winning run.
Robert Carson pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the save.
Las Vegas also scored four runs in the fourth inning fueled by a two-run double from Jordany Valdespin.
The series continues tomorrow in Reno.
