Construction crews will force the closure of several lanes on Interstate 15 in North Las Vegas overnight Wednesday and Thursday.
Lane closures on I-15 from Cheyenne Avenue to Lake Mead Boulevard will begin at 9 p.m. each night Wednesday and Thursday and last until 5:30 a.m. the next morning, North Las Vegas spokeswoman Juliet Casey said.
Crews will close two to three lanes in both directions as they work on cross frames for the North Fifth Street Bridge project, Casey said. The project will extend Fifth Street from North Las Vegas to the south, allowing increased access throughout the city.
Construction on the project began in 2009 and should be finished in the fall, Casey said.
