Law enforcement officials issued an amber alert for a Fallon, Nev., woman and her 5-year-old daughter who went missing Thursday.

The alert was cancelled after the woman's vehicle was located.

The Fallon Police Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol issued the statewide alert Friday for Rebecca Marie Smart and her daughter Rachel Rose Smart.

According to Fallon Police, Rebecca Marie Smart has a history of mental problems and may have stopped taking her medication. She reportedly took her daughter and left Fallon on Thursday, telling friends that she believed the end of the world was approaching and that she was headed to New York state so her daughter could "meet Jehovah.”

Smart, 31, was believed to be driving a tan 1988 Ford Thunderbird, with Nevada license plate 284 YCS. She is a white female adult; 5 feet, 4 inches tall; weighs 129 pounds; and has brown hair and brown eyes.
