Five siblings run away from Child Haven; police on lookout

Metro Police are searching for five juvenile siblings who went missing Tuesday afternoon.

The children ran away from Child Haven, a child care center, about 2 p.m. and knocked on a woman’s door next to the care center near Pecos and Bonanza roads, police said. The two boys and three girls, ranging in age from 7 to 14 years old, then asked the woman for a ride to an estranged relative’s home police believe to be that of their older sister on Cheyenne Road and Rainbow Boulevard.

The woman, who did not know the children had run away, dropped the children off at the intersection. The siblings were last seen at Cheyenne and Rainbow about 4 p.m.

The runaway children have been identified as Demetri Nicholas, 7, Sarah Nicholas, 9, Luchiano Nicholas, 11, Violet Bimbo-Nicholas, 13, and 14-year-old Savanna Nicholas.

Demetri, Sarah and Luchiano all stand 4-feet-7 and have brown hair and brown eyes. Luchiano was last seen wearing red swim shorts, no shirt with black and white shoes. Sarah was last seen wearing a purple shirt and pink shorts. Demetri was last seen wearing a black shirt with green swim shorts and black shoes.

Officials urge anyone with information regarding the children’s whereabouts to contact Metro Police at 828-3111, or during business hours at 828-2907.
