Family Circle has named Boulder City one of the 10 Best Towns for Families in the U.S., according to a study released by the magazine this week.
“Family friendly” factors considered in the rankings include affordable housing options, green public spaces, strong school systems, access to health care, low crime, financial stability and reliable neighbors.
For its seventh annual list, Family Circle partnered with data research firm Onboard Informatics to assemble an initial list of 3,335 cities and communities with populations between 10,000 and 150,000 people.
Of that list, 1,000 were selected based upon having a high concentration of households with median incomes between $55,000 and $100,000. The 10 cities with the highest ratings were then compiled for the final list, which is not ranked:
Allen, Texas
Boulder City, Nevada
Madison, Alabama
Marion, Iowa
Morton, Illinois
Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Suwanee, Georgia
Troy, Michigan
Upper Arlington, Ohio
West Hartford, Connecticut
