When First Food & Bar and Rattlecan closed Monday night at the Palazzo and Venetian, respectively, the restaurants didn't reopen this morning.

The owner said it closed the locations by "mutual agreement" and it is looking for a new Las Vegas location for Rattlecan, the burger place that opened last fall with a mechanical pickle ride and colorful spray painted art.

"We couldn't be more proud of these two unique restaurants and our amazing staff members," the restaurants' owners, VV Ventures, said in a statement today. "The owners deeply appreciate the amazing press, reviews and customer support that the restaurants have enjoyed over the years."

No other details were available.

Chef Sam DeMarco, who created the menu at both restaurants, is working on a new restaurant project in Las Vegas, his spokeswoman said. DeMarco, who was not an owner in the restaurants, is expecting to open a new Los Angeles restaurant next year. He also is set to begin filming for a television show at the end of this month.
