Fire causes $50,000 damage to mobile home

A double-wide mobile home caught fire Wednesday morning, charring the inside and threatening adjacent homes at the Pueblo Del Sol Mobile Home Park, Clark County Fire Department officials said.

No one was injured.

Clark County and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched about 1:45 a.m. to battle the fire at 3751 S. Nellis Blvd., near Boulder Highway.

Firefighters worked to protect the surrounding trees and adjacent homes from the fire. The blaze was put out within a half hour but caused an estimated $50,000 damage, officials said.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, but neighbors said it was occasionally occupied by the owner, officials said.

Clark County Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
