Motorcyclist critical after losing control, crashing into curb

A 41-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition Wednesday after he lost control of the motorcycle while speeding in the east Las Vegas Valley and slid into a curb.

Metro Police responded to the crash about 3 p.m. near Bonanza Road and Lamb Boulevard. Witnesses statements indicate that the motorcyclist was speeding east on Bingham Avenue, when he attempted to slow down at the intersection, police said.

The man lost control of the motorcycle, falling onto the left side and sliding into the raised curb on Page Street, police said. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.

The man was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.

Police are investigating the crash.
