Several residents were evacuated from their homes this afternoon after police found a suspicious item at an apartment complex on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley.
The item was discovered about 2 p.m. at the Sportsman’s Royal Manor apartment complex in the 5600 block of Boulder Highway near Tropicana Avenue. Metro Police Lt. Ken Romane said few details about the item were available as of about 3:30 p.m., noting only that the item was small.
Investigators are at the apartment complex examining the item, Romane said.
