In the James Bond movie “Tomorrow Never Dies,” the character Elliot Carver is a media mogul who uses his influence to create news. I believe that this is the view point of Rupert Murdoch. In the past, privacy laws that prevent unauthorized wiretaps have been cast aside to enable his newspaper to report on the lives of celebrities and politicians.
Murdoch’s motive is money; it’s always about the money. To make money, you have to get ratings, and his henchman Roger Ailes knows how to get ratings with Fox News.
The problem for America is that Fox News spews hatred and discontent. They would have you believe they are telling the truth, when they are not! Fox News pits American against American, Republican against Democrat, and creates chaos.
Beware of Murdoch and Ailes; see them for what they are! Morals and ethics don’t enter into their game plan.
