Wranglers come up short in Bakersfield, 2-1

The Las Vegas Wranglers fell behind by two goals in the first period tonight at the Bakersfield Condors, losing the ECHL game 2-1. It was the Condors first win of the season in eight games.

Bakersfield outshot Las Vegas 15-2 in the first period in taking the lead for good.

Las Vegas scored its goal midway through the third period when Jeff May posted his fifth goal of the season, finding the back of the net on the power play.

Las Vegas goalie Mitch O’Keefe had 26 saves, holding Bakersfield scoreless in the final two periods.

The Wranglers continue their nine-game road trip with three games against the Alaska Aces starting Nov. 15. They return home to Orleans Arena Dec. 6 to face the Condors.
