Motorcyclist killed in wreck
A motorcyclist died today after crashing into a car that was making a turn at Lindell and Flamingo roads.
Metro Police spokesman Larry Hadfield said a Chevrolet Impala was turning left onto Lindell at about 8:51 a.m. when it was hit by a Kawasaki motorcycle that overturned as it approached.
The Kawasaki struck the car’s rear passenger side, causing the car to spin.
The motorcyclist, 30, was pronounced dead at the crash site, and the driver of the Impala was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
The wreck was Metro’s 92nd traffic-related fatality this year.
