Tornadoes and tirades
Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer open this week's show by discussing the top-ranked high school football team in the nation, Florida's Booker T. Washington, coming to town Friday to take on Bishop Gorman. They then work their way into other pertinent topics, highlighted by a discussion of the definition of "athlete" and whether Green Valley can match Canyon Springs' "quickness".

Mesquite will be the host city for one of Southern Nevada’s biggest football games next week.
On a night Desert Pines improved to 6-0 with a blowout of Sunrise Mountain, Virgin Valley did the same by beating Boulder City 34-3.
“We would be lying if we said we weren’t looking forward to Desert Pines for a few weeks now,” Virgin Valley coach Chris Sawyers said. “We’re fired up. We’re looking forward to playing a really good team and the challenge that comes with that.”
The Bulldogs have glided past all other challenges, especially in the last four weeks where they haven’t as much as allowed an opponent to stay competitive. They nearly had their second straight shutout against Boulder City but allowed a field goal in the final play of the game.
Harold “Ducky” Caswell has led the defensive charge all season and registered four sacks against the Eagles.
He was also the Bulldogs’ third leading rusher behind quarterback Garrett Leavitt and running back Junior Paongo. Leavitt had 60 rushing yards and two touchdowns to go with two passing scores and an extra 202 yards through the air.
