An early morning fire at a central Las Vegas apartment complex left residents of two units displaced.

Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue units responded about 4:45 a.m. to multiple reports of fire at Rancho Del Sol apartments, 4201 W. Rochelle Ave., near South Arville Street and West Flamingo Road.

Arriving crews encountered a heavy fire coming from a second-floor apartment in the complex’s Building. The fire, which was contained to the second-floor unit, was declared knocked down shortly after 5 a.m.

Several adjoining units suffered varying degrees of smoke damage, fire officials said.

Fire officials said the building was habitable with the exception of the apartment where the fire originated and the first-floor unit directly below the fire source, which suffered water damage.

Eric Poleski, a Clark County Fire spokesman, said in a news release initial information reported to 911 indicated the fire was related to a domestic disturbance, and Metro Police were called.

One occupant was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Fire officials estimated damage at $75,000.
