A North Las Vegas man was in critical condition after he crashed his motorcycle Wednesday night into a raised traffic island, Metro Police said.
Police responded to the crash about 9:20 p.m. at Valley View Boulevard and Pennwood Avenue.
Robert Johnson, 51, was riding his motorcycle north on Valley View Boulevard when he hit a raised traffic control island in the middle of the intersection of Valley View and Pennwood, police said.
The impact threw Johnson from his motorcycle into the left travel lane of northbound Valley View, police said. Johnson was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, police said.
