Who's the No. 2?

Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer are back with their weekly look at high school football. In this episode, they debate how to rank Arbor View, Palo Verde, Green Valley and Liberty.

The Division I-A Sunrise Region is getting a little crowded at the top.

Desert Pines improved to 5-0 (1-0 Division I-A) on the season after beating Boulder City, 59-13

The Jaguars are one of three undefeated teams in the region, joining Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley — all 5-0.

Eric Wilkes led the way for Desert Pines, rushing for 239 yards on nine carries with four touchdowns.

“Eric played hard tonight,” Desert Pines coach Tico Rodriguez said. “The offensive line played well.”

Dynamic quarterback Iquan Corsey was efficient throwing the ball again. He completed 3-for-4 passing for 161 yards with a touchdown, the bulk of which came on a Tim Hough 88-yard touchdown grab.

Corsey is completing 66 percent of his passes with 13 touchdowns.

“He just makes good decisions. He’s an experienced player,” Rodriguez said of Corsey’s passing. “He trusts his receivers. If they’re not open, he makes the right decision.”

Jon McCoy rushed for 40 yards with a touchdown.

Boulder City dropped to 2-3 (0-1).
