Who's the No. 2?

Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer are back with their weekly look at high school football. In this episode, they debate how to rank Arbor View, Palo Verde, Green Valley and Liberty.

After three weeks of disappointment to start the season, Basic finally broke through and nabbed its first victory at home Friday against Valley.

Antraye Johnson threw a touchdown pass and ran for another in a 42-14 win.

“We controlled the game pretty well,” Basic coach Jeff Cahill said. “The kids were excited. But now we’re just looking to get better in time for league play next week.”

The Wolves shut out the Vikings through the first half but allowed two late scores. In addition to Johnson, Basic got a touchdown run from Jon Scoffield and a touchdown catch from Chris Flum.
