A 33-year-old man died today after a taxi hit him while he attempted to walk across northbound Interstate 15.
Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the crash about 5:45 a.m. at northbound I-15 near the Flamingo Road off-ramp. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson. No one else was injured.
The incident closed the Flamingo Road off-ramp for nearly four hours. Hixson could not confirm why the man had tried to walk across the interstate.
Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
