Five adults and five children were displaced from their apartments on Sunday after a fire.
The Clark County Fire Department responded about 4:30 p.m. to the apartment fire in the 1500 block of Karen Avenue, near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway. The flames extended into the attic of a second-floor apartment and a next-door apartment, Battalion Chief John Steinbeck said.
Nearby apartments were evacuated while firefighters extinguished the blaze. No one was injured in the fire, Steinbeck said.
Five adults and five children were displaced by the fire, which caused about $250,000 damage, he said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
