Zach Lutz hit a pair of home runs today for the Las Vegas 51s in an 11-4 victory against visiting Tacoma at Cashman Field for the 51s' fourth straight win.
Las Vegas (16-5) has the best record in the 16-team Pacific Coast League, and the best record to start a season in its 32-year history of the franchise.
Lutz finished 3 for 3 with four runs scored and three RBIs, connecting on a two-run home run in the third inning and a solo shot in the sixth.
Eric Campbell went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Allan Dykstra went 2 for 5 with two runs and two RBIs, and Daniel Muno and Matt den Dekker each added two RBIs.
The offensive output was a continuation of the 51sā most recent game ā they had 21 hits in a 21-9 victory Tuesday against El Paso. Today, ironically, they scored 11 runs on 11 hits.
The series with Tacoma continues at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
