Regent James Dean Leavitt proposes a sales tax to fund a stadium at UNLV and a $100 per year charge on students to finance a “perpetual fund” for UNLV capital projects.
Tuition has increased 115 percent at UNLV over the last 10 years. Endowments during that period were $168 million and donations over $50 million.
Hillary Clinton will speak at UNLV for $225,000 and she says the honorarium goes to charities. A better UNLV president would have asked to let the charity start here.
Can’t understand why I don’t want my sales tax to increase, can you?
