A construction crew hit a half-inch gas line near Stewart Avenue and North 3rd Street in downtown Las Vegas this afternoon.
The area around the gas leak from Stewart Avenue at North Casino Center Boulevard to North 4th Street is being blocked off as is North 3rd Street from East Ogden Avenue to Stewart Avenue. Southwest Gas is on the scene to repair the leak.
No evacuations were necessary in the incident, which occurred at about 3:20 p.m.
