Police investigating rash of burglaries in southwest valley

Metro Police are trying to identify three young men caught on video outside a home where someone broke a window in a neighborhood that has seen a rash of break-ins.

At about 9:30 p.m. on July 2, a homeowner in the 7600 block of Corvina Avenue heard what sounded like glass shattering and found that someone had unsuccessfully tried to get inside by breaking a window, police said.

Police have been investigating a number of burglaries in the area of Blue Diamond and Buffalo Drive in the southwest valley.

Video footage showed three males in their late teens or early 20s, weighing about 140 to 160 pounds and of average height and build, police said. They appeared to be carrying backpacks and may have had flashlights, police said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Metro Police at 702-828-4810 or contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com
