A military aircraft made an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport this afternoon after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit.
The C-17 cargo plane landed safely at about 3:30 p.m. with nine people on board, airport spokesman Chris Jones said. There were no details as to the plane's origin or destination.
The plane was still at McCarran at about 5:30 p.m., Jones said.
