Accident
Metro Police are searching for a car they say hit two elderly pedestrians in a crosswalk this evening and left the scene near Decatur and Charleston boulevards.
Police received a report about 6:15 p.m. of a pedestrian lying in the crosswalk on Evergreen Avenue in front of Arizona Charlie's Decatur, Lt. Mark Reddon said.
Reddon said a man and woman, both of whom are 86, were transported to University Medical Center's trauma center in stable condition.
The extent of the victims' injuries is unknown.
The car is described as a black, four-door Ford Escort, Reddon said.
