A 29-year-old Las Vegas woman arrested more than a week after a fatal hit-and-run crash has been freed on bail pending an initial court appearance.

Police Officer Jose Hernandez said Wednesday that Galina Kilova posted $20,000 bail late Tuesday and was released from the Clark County jail.

Hernandez says Kilova has a Feb. 17 court date.

Kilova faces a felony hit-and-run charge following her arrest Tuesday after surrendering with her lawyer, Herb Sachs, at a police substation.

She's accused of driving a gray Honda Civic that struck and killed 63-year-old Michael Grubbs on Nov. 24 while he walked on the shoulder of Rainbow Boulevard, pushing his 1-year-old granddaughter in a stroller. The car drove off the road to pass other vehicles, striking Grubbs and the child, police said.

The child was treated for minor injuries and released.

Metro Police said Kilova was arrested in December 2007 on charges including driving without a valid license, failure to use due care and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sachs said that Kilova will fight any charges and that she is not admitting any wrongdoing.

The pair wanted to meet with police because some of the license plate numbers released to the media matched those of a Honda Civic "that she was aware of," Sachs said.

Kilova's delay in surrendering for questioning angered Grubbs family members.
