School bus driver hurt in crash in North Las Vegas

A bus driver suffered minor injuries after a vehicle rear-ended a school bus this morning in North Las Vegas, officials said.

The Clark County School District bus was on North Martin Luther King Boulevard, north of West Carey Avenue, about 6:30 a.m. when it was hit from behind, School District spokesman David Roddy said.

Two students from Biltmore Continuation High School were on the bus, Roddy said.

The bus driver was taken to the hospital, but no other injuries were reported, North Las Vegas Police Officer Aaron Patty said. No information was immediately available about the other vehicle involved.

Another bus was dispatched to the scene to continue the route, Roddy said.

The accident has been cleared, and there are no street closures in the area, Patty said.
