CARSON CITY – An adult entertainment club in Las Vegas has agreed to pay a $25,000 fine to state gaming regulators for violations involving catering to gang members, shootings inside and outside the business and numerous Clark County violations.

Foxy Girls and its owners John James Herda and Nicholas Herda have signed a stipulation in which they do not contest the allegations contained in the complaint of the state Gaming Control Board.

The complaint, prepared by Acting Chief Deputy Attorney General Michael Somps, said the club has a restricted gaming license for 15 or less slot machines.

The board said that Las Vegas Metropolitan Police has responded to a number of violations including employees not having work cards, gun shots being fired, and fights within the business by individuals identified as gang members.

One female dancer had an outstanding warrant, did not have a work card and was in possession of methamphetamine.

State regulators said Foxy Girls "attracted individuals who have criminal records and or who engaged in criminal activities that made the premises of Foxy Girls difficult to police” and it was an “unsafe environment for guests and employees and that it endangered the health and safety of police officers.”

The stipulation, filed Dec. 8, must be approved by the state Gaming Commission.
