Man killed at Henderson factory suffered head injury

A 42-year-old man who died Monday at a Henderson plastics factory where he worked suffered a crushing head injury, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Scott Greenfield, a Henderson resident, was killed in the accident at the Berry Plastics factory at 800 E. Horizon Drive, near Boulder Highway, officials said.

It appears an injection machine carrier fell on him, the Coroner's Office said.

The Nevada Office of Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident.

Berry Plastics said in a statement that it will work with OSHA and authorities during the investigation.

"The company extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of our employee," the statement said.

The Henderson facility employs about 180 people.
