A man who barricaded himself in an apartment following a gas station robbery in Laughlin is in custody, Metro Police said.
Police received a report about 7:30 a.m. of a robbery at a Mobil gas station at 3020 Needles Highway, near El Mirage Way, Officer Miguel Garcia said.
Officers chased the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Steven Alaniz, on foot to a nearby apartment complex, police said.
He then barricaded himself in an apartment, Garcia said.
Alaniz was taken into custody about 10:50 a.m. on a charge of robbery with a deadly weapon, police said.
Nearby apartments were evacuated as a precaution, police said.
