Commissioners pick Glenn Trowbridge for vacant Assembly seat

The Clark County Commission today chose Republican Glenn Trowbridge to fill a vacant seat in the state Assembly representing the northwest valley.

Trowbridge will replace Wesley Duncan, who was elected to a second term representing Assembly District 37 in November but left to take a position as chief assistant to Attorney General-elect Adam Laxalt. Trowbridge is the former director of Clark County's parks and recreation department.

Commissioners chose Trowbridge, former director of Clark County's Parks and Recreation Department, from among 12 candidates in a unanimous vote at their meeting today.

The commission was required by law to pick a member of the same party to replace Duncan, a Republican.
