Police seek 2 in convenience store robbery, assault of clerk

Metro Police are seeking two men they say assaulted a clerk after stealing beer from a convenience store in the southwest valley.

The men entered the store near West Flamingo Road and South Buffalo Drive about 2:20 a.m Oct. 19 and started a conversation with the clerk, police said in a news release.

The suspects took beer from a cooler and fled the store, punching and kicking a clerk who followed them outside, police said.

The first suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 25 years old weighing about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and is about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall.

Police said he was last seen wearing a long-sleeve, button-up shirt, a gray baseball cap, dark pants and dark shoes.

The second suspect is a black man about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, police said. He is believed to be between 25 and 35 years old with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, light pants, dark shoes and a white baseball cap.
