Las Vegas Valley residents may need to break out their dusty umbrellas this afternoon.
Cloudy morning skies have already produced a light sprinkle of rain in southern Las Vegas and Summerlin and snow on Mount Charleston.
There was a 30 percent chance for more rain in the valley by late afternoon or early evening, National Weather Service meteorologist Ryan Metzger said.
It is the second rain in less than a week after a record-setting, early winter string of 57 dry days.
The drought ended Friday with a sprinkling of rain at McCarran International Airport, the Weather Service’s official recording station.
