Editor's note: This event has been cancelled.

A benefit concert to collect new or slightly used clothing for the Las Vegas Rescue Mission will take place Friday, Feb. 21, at Backstage Bar and Billiards at the corner of Fremont and 6th streets.

The Rescue Mission, 480 Bonanza Way, has long been aiding the homeless, addicts and others in need with food, care and other support.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., with the show, featuring several local bands, beginning at 8 p.m., said Roddy Belford, whose Diesel Rocket Promotions is producing the event.

A lineup of bands will be announced soon, Belford said.
