Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer glance over both the Sunrise and Sunset regional playoff brackets. Will there be any surprises or teams other than Bishop Gorman, Canyon Springs and Foothill representing Southern Nevada next week in Reno?

Justin Burks scored 38 points today for the Arbor View High basketball team in a 90-80 victory against visiting Legacy in the Sunset Regional quarterfinals.

Legacy, the last seed from the Southwest League, gave Northwest League champion Arbor View more than it bargained for. Legacy led briefly in the third quarter of a back-and-forth game, but Arbor View turned up the intensity to take a six-point advantage entering the final quarter.

“This is tournament time. It’s survive and advance,” Arbor View coach Kyle Hageness said. “There is no such thing as a bad win. We got a ‘W’ tonight and we are moving on in the playoffs.”

Terrell Butler scored 20 points for Arbor View and Charles Porter added 15.

Arbor View advances to Thursday’s semifinals to face Centennial.
