In response to Ann McFeatters’ Sunday column “A matter of science vs. religion”:
McFeatters writes that there is “overwhelming scientific evidence in favor of evolution.” I beg to differ. First, let me say this: Science doesn’t say anything; scientists do, and not all scientists believe in evolution.
All one has to do is look at creation and observe the intricacies of life to see there is intelligence behind it.
The scripture that says it all is Romans 1:20: “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
Yes, I believe the Bible is literally true, and yes, I believe that someday every one of us will stand before our creator (God) and be judged as to what we did with the evidence that he so graciously provided.
