Metro seeking suspects in stabbing that left man in critical condition

Metro Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the western Las Vegas Valley early Friday morning and left one person with critical injuries.

Around 6:30 a.m., police received a report of an altercation between two men in a neighborhood southeast of West Flamingo Road and South Cimarron Road, according to Officer Laura Meltzer. The men left the area, but then a second call came in approximately five minutes later reporting a stabbing.

Police arrived to find an adult male victim suffering from stab wounds near Green Valley Grocery — at the intersection West Flamingo Road and South Cimarron Road. He was transported to University Medical Center with serious to critical injuries, Meltzer said.

The suspect fled before the officers arrived, and no description is available at this time. Metro Police continue to investigate the incident.
