Three boys missing from foster home found at relative’s house

Three boys who ran away from the their foster home before the new year were found Thursday night and have been returned to the custody of Child Protective Services, according to North Las Vegas Police.

Daniel Valerio-Contreras,15; Armando Huajardo-Valerio, 12; and Emilio Valerio-Contreras, 8, ran away from their North Las Vegas foster home Dec. 28. The kids’ foster mother realized they were gone when she woke up that day at their home in the 3900 block of Buteo Lane, according to Officer Chrissie Coon.

The boys apparently packed before departing, taking clothes, toys and scooters with them.

North Las Vegas detectives found the boys staying with an unidentified biological family member, according to Coon. The boys were unharmed and were turned over to Clark County Child Protective Services without incident.
