A motorcyclist was in critical condition today after colliding with a pickup truck in the north Las Vegas Valley.
Metro Police responded about 8:45 a.m. to Centennial Center Boulevard, near U.S. 95. A preliminary investigation indicates a 2007 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle was heading south on Centennial Center Boulevard when a 2007 Toyota Tacoma pulled out onto the boulevard.
The vehicles collided, causing the motorcyclist — a 27-year-old man from Las Vegas — to be ejected, police said. The motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The 56-year-old driver of the pickup truck and his female passenger suffered minor injuries, police said.
Centennial Center Boulevard was shut down between Grand Montecito Parkway and the U.S. 95 on-ramp while police investigated and cleaned up debris. The accident remains under investigation.
