A man died today in a rollover crash on the westbound 215 Beltway near Decatur Boulevard.
Nevada Highway Patrol responded about 6:55 a.m. to reports of a crash. Witnesses indicated that a man driving a BMW sedan had been going faster than 100 mph when he tried to exit at Decatur Boulevard and hit the landscaping rocks, Trooper Jeremie Elliott said.
The car then rolled over, ejecting the male driver, who was not wearing a seat belt. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Elliott said.
The crash closed the exit ramp for more than three hours. Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
