I find it troubling that when the stock market and corporate profits are at record highs we can’t find enough money to help people who are unemployed in the middle of the winter.
There seems to be enough money for the government to subsidize the rich $75 billion a month, but when it comes to the poor, we kick them to the curb. It’s especially unfair because in 2008 when the rich crashed the economy, we instantly came up with trillions to hand out to them. In America, only the greedy and corrupt get the handout.
