Wranglers fall at Utah in first game in more than 10 days

The Las Vegas Wranglers tonight played their first game since Jan. 18, falling 2-1 at the Utah Grizzles.

John Armstrong scored his eighth goal of the season for Las Vegas 5:58 into the first period, but the Wranglers couldn’t score the remainder of the game. Anthony Perdicaro and Chris Francis assisted on the goal for Las Vegas.

Utah evened the game at 1-all with 50 seconds to play in the second period with a power play goal from Jamie MacQueen. Utah’s D.J. Jelitto scored the eventual game-winning goal eight minutes into the last period.

The Wranglers return to the Orleans Arena Friday to start a six-game homestand hosting Ontario.
