A man committed suicide Wednesday night by shooting himself in front of the Silverton parking garage, according to Metro Police.
Officers were dispatched at 7:25 p.m. to the south valley resort, where they found the 30-year-old man on the ground with a gunshot wound, Lt. Barbara Schmidt said.
The man was "apparently upset about something" before the shooting, Schmidt said.
He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
