The Nevada lawmakers have requested 164 bills to be drafted for the 2015 session that starts in February.

Among the bills requested:

A ban on “revenge porn”: Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto proposed outlawing the practice where someone publishes sexual photos or videos of someone else online, usually after a breakup. “We’re seeing more and more of this,” says Keith Munro, the attorney general’s chief of staff.

Revisions to the public records and meetings laws: Barry Smith, director of the Nevada Press Association, said the law is vague on the definition of a public record and the procedures for release. As an example, Smith said it’s not clear if student test scores gathered by the state Department of Education are open to the public. On open meetings, Smith said government agencies can hold closed-door meetings but it’s not clear what happens with the meeting minutes.

Changes to the way e-cigarettes are taxed and regulated: The Senate Finance Committee asked for e-cigarette bills. Collections from the four cent per cigarette tax have been declining. Democratic Sen. Debbie Smith, chairwoman of the Senate Finance Committee, said the request are just to get the issue on the table. There has not been any definite recommendation.
