Coroner IDs woman killed in 9-vehicle crash on interstate

A woman killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 15 on Wednesday was identified as Kiya Musa, 45, of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The crash happened about 4:15 p.m. when a white sedan rolled over on the I-15 North near the Charleston Boulevard exit, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. Eight other vehicles, including a semi truck, were involved in the accident, the patrol said.

Musa, a passenger in the car that rolled over, was found in the car several hours after the crash, Trooper Jeremie Elliott said.

The driver was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, Elliott said. Three other people from cars involved in the crash were taken to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Three northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours after the crash.
