Andrew Brown’s 3-run home run carries 51s past Salt Lake

The Las Vegas 51s scored six unanswered runs today in the final two innings at Salt Lake in a 6-2 victory.

Andrew Brown’s 16th home run of the season, a three-run shot with two outs in the eighth inning, gave the 51s the lead for good.

Matt den Dekker scored two runs for Las Vegas, Matt Reynolds was 3 for 5 with a RBI and Josh Satin contributed two hits.

Las Vegas starter Logan Verrett surrendered two runs in the first inning, but settled down pitch seven solid innings to earn the win.

The series concludes at 12:05 p.m. Sunday in Salt Lake.
