A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for east central Clark County, near South Cove and Meadview, until 3 p.m.
The National Weather Service is reporting that the storm could produce quarter-sized hail and winds of up to 60 mph.
Those on the open waters of Lake Mead should head to shore or drop an anchor and take cover in the boat cabin, the National Weather Service said.
A flash flood warning was in effect for west central Clark County, near Sandy Valley and Lovell Canyon, until 5:30 p.m.
Drivers are advised to stay away from flooded roads.
A slight chance of showers continues in the valley through Monday night.
