Sections of Martin Luther King Boulevard will shut down the next four weekends as construction crews fix median islands.
The street’s inside northbound and southbound lanes will close between Washington Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard starting this weekend through the weekend of June 28. The $50,000 road construction project is funded by the city of Las Vegas, spokeswoman Margaret Kurtz said.
Lanes will close at 5:30 a.m. on Saturdays and reopen at 3:30 p.m. on Sundays.
City officials urge drivers to be careful around the work zone.
