The Las Vegas 51s gave up four runs before getting an out Saturday and never recovered, losing 7-2 to Fresno.
The Grizzlies got an RBI single from Mark Minicozzi and a three-run homer from cleanup hitter Adam Duvall to jump to a 4-0 lead on 51s starter Joel Carreno (1-4) at Cashman Field.
The 51s (35-27) answered with a solo home run from first baseman Allan Dykstra, but Fresno (33-30) tacked on runs in the second and third innings. Carreno found a groove midway through the third and retired 12 of the last 13 hitters he faced, but the 51s' bats never came to life despite a three-hit night from Dykstra. Las Vegas loaded the bases in the eighth but failed to score.
Mitch Lively (3-3) got the win for Fresno, striking out eight.
Saturday's loss came after a 10-1 beating Friday against the Grizzlies. The series concludes at 12:05 p.m. Sunday at Cashman.
