Metro Police arrest suspect in man’s stabbing death

Metro Police have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed another man to death early Monday morning.

At 3:20 a.m. Monday, Metro officers responded to a call on the 800 block of East Sahara Avenue, near Maryland Parkway, according to a Metro press release.

Officers found a deceased adult male, who had multiple stab wounds, behind a nearby business.

Based on their investigation, homicide detectives arrested James Pete, 55, in connection with the crime, according to the release.

Pete is being held at Clark County Detention Center with no bail, and has been charged with murder with a deadly weapon.

The Clark County Coroner has not yet released the victim’s identity or cause of death.
